Geothermal Energy

Searching for alternative sources of energy requires looking for natural sources that are already present. Nikola Tesla was one of the first people to realize that his electric generators could possibly be powered by the natural heat of the earth's interior. Since then, the idea of geothermal energy has continued to develop. It works by:

  1. Pumping cold water down deep into the earth.

  2. Letting the natural heat of the earth's crust boil the water.

  3. Bringing the steam back to the earth's surface.

  4. Feeding the steam through shafts to turn a turbine.

Reapeating this process over and over can generate consistent energy. It also green energy because it only releases water into the atmosphere.
